TrainingFolks' client is looking for an Instructional Designer / Trainer to work at Addison TX 75001. Start Date: ASAP. Contract Length: 3-4 months to begin. Contract to hire opportunity. Location: Addison, TX - Local candidates only please.

Instructional Designer Trainer position at Addison TX 75001

Responsibilities:

  • Develop content and curriculum as assigned by the Director of Training for internal and external audiences
  • Interact with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to identify, collect and develop content for training courses
  • Conduct independent research on assigned projects to facilitate development of training curriculum
  • Develop learning objectives for each course and ensure content aligns with objectives
  • Revise and rewrite content to shape it for the learning needs of each audience
  • Assist in creating support tools to deliver and aid in learning, e.g., visual aids for face-to-face, various multimedia for e-learning and video on-demand training
  • Assist in measuring post-training student development and provide follow-up training recommendations to achieve learning objectives
  • Develop comprehension assessments, to include test, surveys and evaluation of results
  • Assist in developing evaluation of ROI for each training course
  • Adapt instructional materials for multiple delivery formats
  • Facilitate/lead training courses as needed
  • Coordinate training department logistics as needed
  • Assist with home office and road show training program for outside financial advisors
  • Manage special projects as required


Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years experience in training delivery
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience as an Instructional Designer writing training content.
  • Experience working in the Financial Securities field
  • LMS interaction experience. LMS administration experience and/or experience with Blackboard LMS is an asset
  • Ability to occasionally travel (5-10%)
  • e-learning and video on demand development experience helpful
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Platform speaking skills helpful, but not required
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Ability to produce learning content and operating procedures quickly and according to sound adult learning principles
  • Willingness to seek out and respond to feedback regarding work product or work style
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Bachelor's and or Master's degree in instructional design. Bachelor's degree in training, business, finance, accounting or human resources will also be considered with 1-2 years practical experience in instructional design
