Job Description

PwC's Learning and Education function is a key enabler of the PwC Experience, an element of the Firm's overall strategy. Integrating with the business, and implementing best-in-class teaching practices, this function supports and enables higher quality, and more relevant learning that is aligned with high performing teams.

The Instructional Design team leads the design of learning and performance improvement solutions across lines of service, sectors, and markets for both traditional classroom and technology-enabled learning. Serves as a Subject Matter Specialist in educational topics, consulting with Program Directors/Managers and project teams on the most efficient/effective ways to accomplish desired objectives/outcomes. Working with Project Managers and SMS teams, leads the content creation/development process for Learning and Education interventions.

Position/Program Requirements

Knowledge Preferred:

Proven experience and applied knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, evaluation, learning assessment, instructor preparation and delivering "blended" learning solutions. Thorough working knowledge of distance education and/or designing for major educational technologies, and experienced in, designing technology-based learning (self-study, virtual classroom, job aids/support), including the creation of storyboards for self studies.

Experience as a classroom and/or virtual classroom instructor desirable. Proven success in leading a team of creative professionals in the timely completion of assigned projects to established levels of quality.

Working knowledge of the National Association of State Board's of Accountancy requirements, including those applicable to their Quality Assurance Standard.

Skills Preferred:

Substantial experience designing for/using Centra virtual classroom platform virtual classroom platform or similar, such as WebEx, Breeze and/or LiveMeeting. Possess demonstrated, applied understanding of educational technologies. Super User of key PwC e-learning tools such as Articulate Presenter and Lectora.

Collaborates with Program Directors/ Managers and the Learning Assessment and Faculty Development Teams. Coaches and trains other L&E professionals on instructional design and the effective and appropriate use of educational technologies.

Ability to manage multiple projects and align resources to ensure priorities are met.

eLearning, leads the storyboarding process and approves final storyboards before they go to production. Leading a team of creative professionals in the timely completion of assigned projects to established levels of quality

Advanced Degree is strongly preferred

Minimum Years of Experience Necessary: 3

Minimum Degree(s) and Certification(s) Required: Undergraduate Degree

Additional: 5+ years of demonstrated Instructional Design & Technologies experience.

Location is flexible to major market Chicago and East.
