e-Learning Industry - The leading e-Learning portal

Some of the most rewarding moments in my career are times when a colleague or client asks with wonderment, “How did you do that?” after viewing an eLearning module or Just In Time training tool or resource I have created. My initial reply to this question is nearly always to list the learning technologies I used. I guess that somewhere in my mind I expect them to go out, get a copy of the software and start using the tool themselves, and so they really need this information. Silly, I know but without these tools, my job would be a lot harder.

Many eLearning courses are like a PowerPoint; click the page and move ahead. These are linear courses that measure progress based on screens viewed, and upon completion report a pass or fail to the Learning Management System. But you don’t have to settle for this anymore!

Asking the right questions at the start of a project can save time, money and reduce the amount of re-work on e-learning projects. Before the instructional and graphic design starts there are some questions that should be asked at the start of each project. Do you take time to go through and set up your project or do your get straight into the design?

Do you think the use of video during the instructional process helps or distracts the learner? Is video a mixed blessing? In our world of e-Learning, video has become an important element in the eLearning process as, according to research, visual demonstration of something new can lead to successful results. Yet, many eLearning developers hesitate to use this powerful tool. But is this hesitation an unfounded fear?
