Responsibilities

This position will assume responsibility for the performance of the educational products within his/her purview, with an emphasis on meeting customer expectations for satisfaction and financial expectations aligned with RAPS’ approved budget. This responsibility includes close collaboration with the VP, Education and Professional Development to create and execute strategic plans tied to RAPS’ overall strategic and operational plans.

This position also assumes a role in the day-to-day operations of RAPS’ self-paced, online educational products and is chiefly responsible for timely development and delivery of courses and management of subject-matter expert relationships. The Manager, eLearning measures appropriate participation and financial levels on a regular basis to evaluate the success of various initiatives and conducts regular reviews of activities to adjust efforts to meet objectives as outlined in RAPS’ strategic plans.

This position will also supervise a team of eLearning specialists as direct reports and will manage the collective group’s productivity and performance, including adherence to production schedules, continuous quality improvement in online content, and the provision of quality customer service. The position will also provide coaching and mentoring in support of his/her reports’ professional development. The Manager, eLearning will also serve as key liaison with internal stakeholders, notably Brand Management and Business Development, on all operational matters related to Online University.

Qualifications
  • Strong project management experience
  • Strong experience using a Learning Management System
  • Experience using Articulate Storyline or similar e-learning development software
  • Track record of delivering projects on time, to specification, and within budgetary constraints, with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated attention to detail while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Openness to learning and adapting to new technology
  • Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional team environment and think creatively
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) preferably in communications, educational technology, instructional design, graphic design, media studies or a related field
