Discover The Secrets To Interactive Virtual Training Sessions

Virtual training sessions can be quite interactive. So, have you ever watched a web-based training session and wondered, “How did they do that?” When slides or polls appear or videos pop up and play automatically, it’s not magic! Obviously, there’s a person behind every action who must click, type, or drag to make things happen. Generally speaking, this applies to all virtual training sessions. So, you need to take full benefit of your web conferencing software interactive capabilities! In other words, if you’re always the participant and never the presenter, join this session to take a peek at how it’s done!

During this session:

Contrary to a participant's point of view, under a presenter's perspective, virtual training sessions might differ. That is, we will explore aspects of Adobe Connect web conferencing software from a presenter’s point of view. More precisely, in this session, you will:

  • Choose the right type of web conferencing room (meeting, training, event, webinar) for your event
  • Customize settings and features to accommodate planned interactions
  • Document delivery plan in a shared location
  • Communicate with team members using secret and private messaging
  • Manage participant questions and technical issues
  • Deliver consistent sessions using templates
  • Discover what presenters do that participants don’t see

Karen Hyder has been using technology to teach about technology since 1991 when she delivered instructor-led software applications courses at Logical Operations in Rochester, New York. Later, as Director of Trainer Development, she taught classes that helped trainers improve skills and earn certifications. In 1999, after living abroad for more than a year helping trainers achieve certification, Karen was hired to create a "train the trainer" course for people using virtual classroom software to reach learners in China. She's been coaching and teaching online ever since! In 2004, Karen helped launch The eLearning Guild Online Forums, a series of online conferences for eLearning development professionals. For the Guild, she continues to produce and host online events including the impressive Best of DemoFest, a multi-presenter, live demonstration event. In 2017, The eLearning Guild honored Karen with the Guild Master Award, recognizing her contributions to the Guild community and the eLearning industry. Karen provides presenter coaching and live event support for online learning experiences at Hearing First LLC, a not-for-profit that serves professionals earning CEUs and families supporting children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
