Is Your Training Material Ready For eLearning? Key Considerations For High-Impact eLearning

You publish the training material and content in your classroom training PowerPoint deck into an authoring tool. But, the end product doesn't quite deliver the results you expected in terms of learner engagement. Sound familiar? Why does this happen?

eLearning design is an intricate process, and ensuring your content is ready for conversion is a step in the right direction. Join this webinar by CommLab India to take stock of your material and explore 3 key considerations that should guide you.

For classroom training material to be converted to eLearning, it has to "treated" instructionally by doing these and more:

  • Setting performance-based learning objectives
  • Filling content gaps
  • Adding instructional events that replicate classroom activities
  • Incorporating assessments

And Instructional Designers can’t do this in silos. They’ll need input from Subject Matter Experts, especially if the topic is complex or proprietary. They’ll need to consult stakeholders and/or training managers to decide the format and structure of the online training program.

And as training managers, you need to see how much of the available content is actually captured in the PPT and shared with the learning design team. For example, do you have access to your facilitator’s script or do you just have the deck with a few bullets onscreen? Do you have all the different icebreakers and questions posed in the class?

This webinar will help you take stock of how ready your training material is for eLearning. It also shares 3 high-level considerations (such as ensuring your training is aligned with business goals) to get started in the right direction. You wouldn’t want to miss the part on aligning classroom activities with their counterparts in eLearning!

During this session, we will discuss:

  • What eLearning is and isn’t
  • Process of converting classroom training material to eLearning
  • Different roles involved in the conversion
  • Key considerations
  • Aligning eLearning to business results
  • Making some strategic decisions
  • Selecting the strategy based on classroom activities
  • How to save SME time and learn from their experiences
