We got started in 2018, working together in a spare bedroom in Phoenix, Arizona.
We wanted to work on something in the People / HR field, because in a company, the people are everything. Nothing else matters if the people aren’t right.
We noticed that traditional hiring is based on resumes, which include skills & experience but not the “soft factors” like personality, values, team culture, strengths or weaknesses. That’s critical to know how someone will fit with the actual team they'll be joining.
When hiring doesn’t work, it’s almost always the soft stuff that went wrong. Companies are relatively good at assessing skills, but not at knowing in advance how people will fit into teams is lacking.
When people fit, they’re happy and engaged, and the team is more effective.
