What is Planio?
Planio is a platform for online project management. It combines several features to facilitate the task of planning and running projects.
Planio makes web-based project management and team collaboration more efficient and productive. Major features include: milestones, collaborative file management, a ticket system, automatically generated Gantt charts and roadmaps, role-based access control, a news system, and wikis and forums.
We were pleased with the end result and, interestingly, customers wanted Planio even after the project was out of our hands. This was, for us, the biggest compliment. Consequently, we decided to share Planio with the world and make it better every day.

Planio is built around issues, which allow you to break down big projects into smaller parts and track their progress. Gantt charts and Roadmaps give you an “at a glance” view of your current status.
Run Agile Projects
You can run Agile projects with Scrum or Kanban boards and a full array of charts, including burndown charts. Drag-n-drop boards make sprint planning as easy as dragging items from your backlog to your sprints.
Choose What You Need
Planio is made up of 14 apps that you can switch on or off depending on your needs. You can create wikis, forums, blogs, track time, store documents or chat with your team. Or you can keep things simple, and only activate the apps you need right now.
Escape the Chaos of Email
Your customers can send emails that appear as issues right in Planio. You can handle support requests, tickets and client updates from within Planio, so you won’t get swamped in your email inbox.
Tightly Integrate GIT/SVN Repositories into Project Management
You can link GIT or SVN commits to issues in Planio, so you can know exactly which developer did what and what they’ve changed. You can host unlimited SVN or GIT repositories in Planio, or you can integrate your repositories on GitHub.
