This position will support all training aspects of the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) by delivering quality training to a variety of audiences. These audiences include: state regulatory agencies, industry firms and individuals, CSBS staff and call center representatives. The Technical Trainer will ensure that the appropriate learning and development activities are in place to deliver the highest level of support possible for users of the NMLS. In this capacity, the individual will play a key role in improving the productivity of half of a million people.

Responsibilities

The Senior Technical Trainer will identify, develop, and deliver systems training, as well as coordinate with external training providers to deliver specialized and effective training. The Senior Technical Trainer will lead and/or participate with stakeholders in identifying and evaluating appropriate training opportunities. The Senior Technical Trainer will serve as the lead with both internal and external user groups in implementing effective delivery of systems training, conducting assessments, and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented training solutions. The Senior Technical Trainer will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external user groups to improve the use of best practices and reporting outcomes to management. The Senior Technical Trainer will interface regularly with 3rd party vendors to plan and coordinate training for NMLS users and call center agents providing support for NMLS users.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Degree in related learning and development field

 

Experience

  • Four (4) to eight (8) years’ experience conducting technical training for diverse audiences
  • A technical aptitude for using and instructing systems
  • Demonstrated success with developing and publishing resource material
  • Development of video demonstrations/simulations production for learning programs
  • Experience with NMLS is a plus
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience developing and maintaining progressively complex IT related training materials for the trainee and the trainer
  • Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office
