Contrary to popular belief, eLearning is much more than just adding audio to PowerPoint presentations and publishing them online. In most cases, PowerPoint presentations contain less than half of the content that is delivered in the classroom. The trainer, through examples, stories, and detailed explanations, delivers the other half that is not captured by the PPT. When it comes to eLearning, the crucial missing piece in all the above formats is ‘Instructional Design’, the creation of learning experiences that result in the learner acquiring and applying the newly learned knowledge and skills to the job.
