Transforming Compliance Training: From A Mandatory Course To An Engaging Learning Experience

Could learning about how to handle a fire emergency be fun? What about avoiding email phishing scams? Let's be honest, compliance is not exactly your employees’ favorite training topic.

But it doesn’t mean it should feel like a chore, either. In fact, you need to make sure your compliance training program engages learners. Delivering compliance training alone doesn’t guarantee employees understand, remember, and more importantly, apply what they’ve learned. And disengaged employees could have a negative impact on your company, including workplace accidents, cyber attacks, and money spent on fines.

That’s why making sure your employees are engaged during their compliance training is as important as delivering this training in the first place.

The first step in making your compliance training program a success is understanding why employees are not engaging with the content. Do they find it hard to relate the takeaways with their day-to-day tasks? Is the language too technical? Or, do they seem to lose their interest as they go through a 20-page guide on compliance?

Whatever the challenges your employees are facing, our experts will share best practices on how to make your compliance training programs more interactive, more memorable, and—why not—a bit more fun.

Join Victor Kritakis, Information Security Officer at Epignosis Learning Technologies, and Justin Overstreet, VP of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental at Wildcat Oil Tools, as they share how they’ve successfully implemented compliance training programs on a variety of topics like cybersecurity and workplace safety.

In this session, you will:

  • Debunk some of the most common myths around compliance training
  • Discover what turns learners off
  • Learn why it matters to keep learners engaged
  • Explore ways to design compliance training content that hooks learners
  • Learn how to engage learners even after their training
