I'm using AG5 to map and monitor skills for myself and my team.

What do you like best? AG5 is a great tool. We use it for mapping out skills and monitoring employee development. The system is very user-friendly, hence making it super easy to manage skills. What I like most is that the skill matrices are well-visualized. It's really easy to understand even if you haven't used such a tool before. Working with AG5 has given us a solution to keep competencies up to date— I also like that skills gaps are visible, so we can take action fast.
What do you dislike? Overall I'm happy with it. It's good that we can edit created items, but I can't seem to find a way to edit the rating scale for a specific competency. The only way I've found around it is deleting the competency, adjusting the rating scale, and then recreating the competency. Maybe the team at AG5 would like to take a look at this.

What do you like best? AG5 manages to combine simplicity with good functionality. Even though it is a very simple tool, it still offers many features. Best of all, the interface makes navigation easy, and I'm not that tech-savvy... They make sure to bring out new features, and each month we get fixes and functionality releases. Great team and support overall!
What do you dislike? I'd like to see some enhancements to the reporting functionality. Also, note that the mobile app offers less functionality compared to the web interface.

Finally, I can throw away Excel! This is a fantastic tool.

What do you like best? AG5 offers so much flexibility, especially if you have different departments in your organization. For example, you can use it to train and evaluate people for Sales, Operations, HR, and even Engineering. With the platform, you can understand your employees' skill set; you can also use all available selling enablement skills as we do. What I like most is that it is low maintenance.
What do you dislike? Easy implementation, so no complaints. Being in a consultancy agency and having over 5000 skills, I was a bit worried at first. But, to my surprise, it took us less than 2 weeks to get it up and running. It's easy to learn, so we managed to get everything rolling fast. My advice is that you know what you want out of this system. This will help your implementation and allow you to get the most out of its flexible setup.

What do you like best? AG5 provides our company with a great hub for all employee compliance (training, roles, authorizations). I find it very easy to use, as do most of our team members. Working with their team makes things even faster and easier. They always ask the right questions to understand our challenges. One of my fav features is that the system can send notifications to employees and managers when someone's training or authorization is expiring with just one click. Also, I like the manager dashboards.
What do you dislike? As a SAAS solution, it might not totally fit every single one of your company's needs. We had to change some processes and make concessions. However, we were fully aware of this. If you can compromise and don't have the budget for creating your own tool, it's a great alternative to get the job done.
