ICCE 2014 will be a seven theme-based sub-conferences in the five-day conference and will foster the building of research communities in the field of Computers in Education. Researchers, graduate students, policy makers and practitioners are welcomed to participate in the Conference to exchange research findings in the frontier areas of Computer in Education.
Innovative and advanced technologies including ICT, media, and tools currently create new possibilities of education and learning. In exploring the impact and potential of these technologies, it is indispensable not only to develop individual educational systems with these technologies, but also to build new theories representing what and how learners could learn with the technologies, and how the educational systems need to be designed with the technologies. In addition, it is also important to accumulate lessons learned from practical uses of the educational systems following the theories. The interaction between such theoretical and practical aspects of integrating the innovative and advanced technologies into educational systems would construct new fundamentals of technology-enhanced learning, which would be one direction ICCE should pursue. The fundamentals would shape the future of Computers in Education.
ICCE 2014 will be held in the Nara Prefectural New Public Hall, Nara, Japan, on November 30 - December 4, 2014.
