Artemis: The Newest Member To The Course-Source Marketplace
The Artemis vision is to have high quality induction resources for members of the children's workforce.
Working together with local authorities, Artemis has produced a series of eLearning modules to create the Children's Workforce Induction Programme (CWIP). Written by subject matter experts and beautifully illustrated on screen, the CWIP has been successfully implemented in various Local Authorities as well as private and voluntary organisations across the UK.
The design process was extremely thorough and subject matter experts from the participating Local Authorities spent a great deal of time writing, developing, testing and refining the modules. This process was quality assured by experts. The resulting programme bears tribute to this attention to detail and is a programme of learning that all who took part in the process are very proud of.
Building on that success, Artemis has expanded their eLearning library with a range of supplementary topics such as Working with Parents, Understanding Child Attachment and Child Protection. Future planned courses include such topics as Child Poverty. In addition, there is a range of complimentary courses such as Information Sharing, Equality & Diversity and Fire Safety Awareness.
Artemis courses are primarily designed for the training needs of people who will be working with children. It is another sector which can benefit from how Course-Source is changing the way organisations search, evaluate and deliver off-the-shelf eLearning course libraries to their staff. Driven by enrolment based pricing, the Course-Source website offers L&D managers a one-stop shop for their off-the-shelf eLearning requirements. The rapidly growing library now includes over 1,300 courses from a community of over twenty eLearning publishers in sectors including Desktop IT, Legal and Compliance, Health and Safety, Languages as well as business skills such as Sales, Marketing and Customer Service.
L&D Managers can initially evaluate any course in full for free and then purchase access to the courses in quantities appropriate to demands. Courses can be delivered either through the organisation’s own LMS using Course-Source connectors, or for organisations without their internal LMS, the courses can be hosted by Course-Source.
