Mentorina Supports NRC Industrial Research Assistance Program

Montreal, Canada, Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 - Mentorina, a leading Montreal, Canada-based creator of customized, personalized, and interactive learning environments providing real-time insights, has confirmed that it has been approved for the National Research Council Canada Industrial Assistance Program. After successfully passing all strict criteria, the company will hold government support for 5 years as part of a collaborative partnership. The project is an agent-based intelligent tutoring system with dynamic cognitive and non-cognitive assessment and analytics for teachers.

The National Research Council-Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) is Canada's top innovation assistance program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The approval, confirmed by the Regional Contribution Agreement Officer on Thursday, April 27th, 2017, will help Mentorina and its team of highly skilled educators and innovators to drive forward education-centric technology innovation in Canada and other target markets in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Mentorina was fully evaluated during a long and technical due diligence and consultation process with the NCR including Industrial Technology Advisors (ITAs).

"The National Research Council Canada Industrial Assistance Program approval is a huge boost for our mission to lead the way in intelligent learning environments and empowering the success of students for a better life," expressed, Mohamed Hayel Saeed, Chief Listening Officer (CLO), Mentorina. "Today we see standardized learning environments are rigid and based on inflexible legacy technology. The result is a significant lag time between when a student interacts with a static learning system and when students, teachers, and parents see the outcomes," expressed, Babak Khosravifar, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mentorina. "We're changing this experience by transforming traditional education by delivering real-time intelligence within a flexible and collaborative ecosystem.”

Mentorina is focused on creating a personalized and customized experience that tailors the curriculum to an individual user’s preferences and interests and helps them to learn how they learn best. This is achieved by building a dynamic ecosystem that connects students and teachers through intuitive and powerful technology, reporting that lets teachers and administrators make changes to classroom instruction to attend to student learning gaps, and monitoring student performance to ensure the curriculum and concepts match what each individual needs most.
