Online Training Software For Course Rewarding

For any trainer who’s ever struggled to get employees to complete a course, Bellingham-based Avizr offers a new solution. The online training software company has partnered with Seattle-based Tango Card to create an easy-to-use interface that lets users reward trainees with gift cards from a variety of companies.  Employees can also choose to make a donation to selected nonprofit organizations with their gift cards.

Called Course Rewards, Avizr’s platform gives companies control over which gift cards employees will receive for the courses they complete, as well as the amount each gift card is worth. Employees can choose which cards they want to receive from a predetermined list, chosen by their employer from the options offered by Tango Card’s partners. Currently, gift card options include major retailers, cafés, and nonprofit organizations.

“There’s a lot of talk in the eLearning world about gamification and other kinds of recognition, such as badges,” notes Avizr founder Eric Kean. “Creating an easy, flexible way to let companies reward employees with gift cards is another tool that trainers can use to motivate trainees to complete trainings,” says Kean.

Once the company selects the retailers, the gift card amounts, and the courses for which trainees can earn reward cards, Avizr’s software seamlessly integrates with Tango Card’s API to automate the process of emailing gift cards to the trainees.  System administrators have the chance to review the gift card purchases before they become final. Each gift card purchase is saved in an easy-to-read report.

The new Course Rewards program complements Avizr’s other features. The platform gives trainers the ability to organize training materials and easily create interactive courses that users can access on desktops or mobile devices. The software integrates with Vimeo and Google Docs and lets trainers easily track learner progress with quizzes, reports, and communication tools, which helps organizations measure their use of training resources. Organizations and entrepreneurs can sell the courses they create through the e-commerce platform Shopify.

Avizr is currently looking for beta testers for the Course Rewards program. Interested parties should sign up on the website.
