Senior Specialist-Learning Systems and Technologies at New York NY 10010

The Senior Learning Systems and Technologies Specialist is responsible for developing e-learning programs, instructional videos and electronic performance support tools and support the use of content creation tools (rapid courseware development, video creation) by colleagues in Global Education. The role will also be responsible for supporting the global learning technology platforms (LMS, Sharepoint, Adobe Connect) and managing user support and communications.

Senior Specialist RESPONSIBILITIES : Instructional Design and E-learning Development

  • Design and develop e-learning programs, e-learning tools, and performance electronic support sytems.
  • Develop courses and video tutorials using rapid development tools such as Lectora and Articulate Storyline
  • Monitor and maintain success of courses to ensure updates and improvements are continually included.

Learning Technologies Support

  • Create, communicate and implement procedures for online content to ensure adequate access is provided, completions are properly recorded (LMS) and user frustration is minimized.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues surfaced by users with IT, content and/ or platform Vendors
  • Liaise with IT Service Center to ensure proper communication, escalation and issue resolution exists between all users of the platforms and other critical groups such as IT, Global Education, Vendor partners etc…
  • Coordinate with admin users to maintain course metadata (i.e. descriptions, titles, email communications etc.) and make sure they are complete, accurate and up-to-date (in all languages).

Content Creation, Publishing and Management for Global Learning Platforms (LMS. Sharepoint, Adobe Connect, Wistia)

  • Maintain Global Online Content on all Platforms and Support all Users – Stakeholders / Admin and Learners
  • Work with various groups and regions to create and or publish online content (Courses, Resources, etc.) to appropriate platforms and ensure information is accurate and up-to-date.

Organizational Understanding and Support

  • Display an understanding of the organization, business and industry.
  • Participate in HR projects that cross functional lines. Participate in special projects as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS with 5+ years content development/ support of learning technologies
  • Excellent instructional and visual design skills
  • Mastery of HTML, and graphic design application for e-learning development
  • Video production capabilities
  • Strong Sharepoint 2010, Articulate Storyline and Lectora Skills
  • Strong service orientation
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork / partnership skills
  • Proactive Communication style and good interpersonal skills (follow-through communications critical)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office software
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams in a matrix organizational structure
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees

Preferred:

  • Luxury retail industry experience preferred
  • Learning technologies experience
