What do you like best? Our experience with GoCo has been very positive overall. It’s become an integral part of our daily operations, helping us streamline and automate key HR functions like onboarding and performance management. I love that I can use it to build custom workflows. The document management tools are also fantastic — being able to send out incentive plans, policy updates, and handbooks with e-signature support has made it easy to communicate changes company-wide. Better for us than BambooHR.
What do you dislike? While the workflow builder is one of GoCo’s strongest features, it does come with a learning curve since customers have to build the workflows themselves. Thankfully, our account team was extremely hands-on and supportive as we got up to speed. They keep adding new features, which shows their commitment to continuous improvement. GoCo is a strong and reliable choice.

What do you like best? GoCo stands out for its intuitive and user-friendly interface, making it easy to navigate and manage HR tasks. The platform's design is both visually appealing and logically structured, allowing users to comfortably access various features. During our evaluation of different HR solutions, GoCo emerged as the most comprehensive and succinct option, leading to its selection as our preferred choice.
What do you dislike? One area where GoCo could improve is in its billing and timesheet flexibility. Our current time card system allows case managers to bill different grants, a feature that wasn't readily available in GoCo. However, our HR team managed to find a workaround to accommodate this need. Good for HR/hiring processes with billing and timesheet management. It has streamlined our HR operations, enhancing overall efficiency.

What do you like best? Our experience with GoCo has been nothing short of fantastic. It’s incredibly easy to use, which means no more staff complaints or constant questions. No need for a full-time admin just to run the system. What really sold me was their approach: they view HRIS like a game — something employees should be able to figure out on their own. And that’s exactly what’s happened. My team has been able to explore the platform, complete tasks with minimal guidance, and keep things moving smoothly.
What do you dislike? GoCo is still a relatively young company, so it doesn’t have as many modules or advanced features as some older platforms. I refer to it as "vanilla with sprinkles" — it’s simple, but it delivers exactly what I need. I intentionally avoided focusing on bells and whistles when choosing a new system, and honestly, I don’t miss any of those extras because GoCo handles the essentials flawlessly. As an HR manager, I couldn’t be happier!

What do you like best? GoCo has been a great solution for our team, especially for onboarding and managing employee documents. Now it’s easier for new hires to complete their offer letters, paperwork, and get up to speed quickly. One of the biggest pros is how it streamlines benefits management, making processes like open enrollment much simpler and more accessible for staff. We compared it with Paycom, but GoCo stood out for being far more user-friendly, especially for staff, all at a very competitive price point.
What do you dislike? The biggest challenge we’ve faced has been with customer service. There was a period of high turnover, and we were assigned several different reps, which made support feel inconsistent. However, GoCo seems to have made improvements in this area — our current dedicated rep stays in touch regularly and provides helpful, proactive support, which is a noticeable step in the right direction. It is shaping up to be a reliable and user-friendly platform we can count on.

A disappointing experience marked by misleading promises

What do you like best? In most cases, I aim to highlight the positive aspects of a product, especially as a CEO who understands how hard it is to satisfy every customer. Unfortunately, in this case, there are no redeeming qualities I can point to. The experience was frustrating from the start, due to a complete disconnect between what was promised during the sales process and what was actually delivered.
What do you dislike? The most serious concern was the misleading sales experience. Our entire team was led to believe that GoCo could integrate with our existing systems — a key requirement for us. Post-purchase, their implementation team admitted that integration wasn’t possible, rendering the product completely unusable for our needs. I strongly recommend doing thorough due diligence and reviewing customer feedback before committing.

What do you like best? GoCo has been a perfect fit for our small medical practice. The software is incredibly intuitive, which made it easy for our team to get up and running with minimal training. The learning curve was short, and staff quickly adapted to the platform without feeling overwhelmed. The system aligned perfectly with our daily workflows.
What do you dislike? There are a couple of features we’d love to see added. First, a built-in communication or note feature for timesheets would be helpful, allowing employees to clarify entries directly in the system. Second, we’d appreciate the ability to restrict time tracking by IP address to ensure team members are physically present when clocking in and out. That said, it’s a great choice for small businesses looking for a scalable and easy-to-use HR platform.

What do you like best? GoCo has been consistently excellent. One of the standout aspects is the ongoing support — we’ve had monthly check-ins with our GoCo rep for years now, and that says a lot about the company’s commitment to its clients. They actively seek feedback, whether it’s positive or critical, and more importantly, they act on it quickly. When I reach out with a question, I typically get a response within an hour — that level of responsiveness is rare and appreciated.
What do you dislike? Our company operates with a unique structure, managing multiple businesses under one parent company. This has occasionally made profile setup and permissions a bit more complex. However, instead of treating this as a limitation, GoCo has treated it as an opportunity for improvement, using our case to develop new features and updates. That adaptability speaks volumes about their team’s mindset. It’s a high-quality product and a more cost-effective service than others.

What do you like best? GoCo was a strong starting point for our HR management needs, especially as a small to mid-sized company. The platform is clear, easy to use, and provides a user-friendly experience for both HR teams and employees. Our staff had no trouble navigating the system — they could easily access their employment history, track benefit changes, and review PTO balances. It's particularly well-suited for growing teams that need an approachable, streamlined system.
What do you dislike? The main drawback we encountered was around reporting accuracy. While GoCo offers helpful reporting features, we found it difficult to pull data from specific dates or time ranges accurately. Reports often required manual adjustments, especially when tracking headcount changes or benefit updates, which added extra steps to our workflow. While there's room to improve, the ease of use and accessibility make it a worthwhile tool for companies looking to centralize their HR ops.
