5 Tools To Create Digital Quizzes For Your Courses

Any learning experience, whether instructor-led or digital, cannot be complete without a quiz. While all educators and course creators know and agree about the importance of good quizzes, not everyone knows how to build one. This article talks about some basic guidelines that you can follow to build a stellar learning quiz. To aid you further, I am listing down a few tools to create digital quizzes.

1. ClassMarker

ClassMarker is an online quiz creation tool that allows the creation of public or private tests. The tool lets you define various quiz settings with ease like test duration, randomizing questions, instant feedback, choosing from multiple question types, custom certificate creation and branding, and automatic grading. It is a good choice to create tests for digital classroom courses, distance learning tests, eLearning, essays, practice tests, aptitude tests, and more. You could even integrate the test results into your website using the tool’s web API.

The tool has multiple plans for educators. There is a free plan which allows up to 100 tests per month, and two paid premium plans providing from 400 to 1,000 tests per month.

2. Raptivity

If creating interactive quizzes is on your agenda, Raptivity could be a great choice. It is not merely a quiz building tool but a comprehensive desktop-based interactivity builder with over 190+ customizable interaction templates ranging across quizzes, assessments, polls, surveys, games, and more. The tool doesn’t require any programming knowledge and produces output in both Flash and HTML5. FlexiQuiz is an online tool that allows you to quickly create courses or online tests for your students. You could set time duration for your tests and can make them public or private. There is an option to choose from a variety of question types. The auto-grading function and generation of analysis reports is an added advantage.

You could choose between a free version which allows you to build unlimited quizzes with limited questions in each, or a premium version that allows you to upload media and have unlimited questions.

5. ProProfs

ProProfs lets you build customized online quizzes using over 6 question types, enables the addition of media elements, and also lets you embed quizzes on your blog or website. Its quiz analytics lets you track performance, instantly grade students, and also issue them certificates. ProProfs is great for traditional classrooms as well as online schools and learning.

ProProfs is available as a free version as well as in multiple paid versions. The free version offers unlimited quizzes, questions, and quiz takers. The paid version offers student tracking, privacy settings, and many more useful options.
