Every team working on eLearning course development needs a systematic process to boost their development speed. But at the same time, the quality of the eLearning course has to be great for users to accept and learn from the course readily. The most common way to improve the speed and quality of eLearning course development is to improve the review cycle management. There are different methods and tools that one can integrate to enhance the overall development process.

Team Structure

It's easier for smaller teams to manage a project and communicate on the eLearning development process. However, managing bigger teams and internal communication is challenging. To tackle this challenge from the very start, assign roles and responsibilities to each team member. Make sure they understand their part of the job. Train them to be able to deliver on their tasks on time. As every member is somehow dependable on other team members, make sure there is one who will manage the project as a whole and assist in the smooth functioning of the whole team.

Process Workflow

Often, we jump on projects without giving a thought to the business's actual process. It leads to significant time spent on trial and testing and delays delivering a great eLearning course. I am not saying no to testing new methods; however, after running through some tests, make sure you adapt and stick to one or a few processes only. Communicate More

Visual reviews play a vital role in the development of eLearning course development. For every addition, revision, and removal of content or designs, you need someone to review it and mark their feedback visually. Everyone in the team can review the content and mark their comments. However, to avoid too much confusion and save others time, only allow the project decision-makers to frequently review the project and add review and feedback if there are any changes needed. Client Feedback

Most of us would want to get client feedback once the complete course is fully developed. And I agree with that; however, instead of waiting for the entire course, we can break it down in modules or sections. And once you and your team think that a particular course module or segment is complete, get that one eLearning course module reviewed by the client. If there are any change requests from the client end, you can improve it parallel to developing other modules.

I have already mentioned it multiple times, but again I would emphasize that you use one single visual review and bug tracking software that your team uses. Only make sure you limit the information that is seen by clients or any external parties. This way, you can still have all the details of client feedback and internal team reviews in one place. And it would speed up and improve the quality of the eLearning course.
