Responsibilities

Colorado State University Online (Department of Continuing Education) is seeking a Course Developer to work collaboratively with Instructional Designers and instructors to build online courses that improve student learning and follow best practice guidelines.

This full-time position will involve:

1. Working in collaboration with Instructional Designers, instructors and subject-matter experts to design and develop course curricula and instructional materials;
2. Complete tasks assigned to build and develop materials in the LMS course shells;
3. Supporting the professional development of faculty, adjuncts, subject matter experts, graduate teaching assistants, professional staff, and subject matter experts through consultation and training.

The successful candidate will possess an in-depth and current understanding of instructional issues related to teaching and learning in blended and online courses, as well as experience using a wide range of hardware and software tools to develop instructional materials.

The Course Developer will report to the Senior Instructional Designer at CSU Online and will join a team that works collaboratively to support the teaching and learning mission of the University. This position may operate as an on-site (Fort Collins, Colorado) or a remote position.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in educational technology, instructional design, education, or closely related field

Experience developing instructional materials for learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Sakai, Moodle, and/or Canvas). The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; Continuing Education/CSU Online will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
