Under the direction of the Vice President of Academic Services, this position will coordinate all activities in the Technology, Education, and Collaboration Center (TECC). This includes working with faculty on the design and development of accessible instructional content for all courses with an emphasis on support for online and hybrid deliveries, and conducting research on emerging technologies for use in an academic setting. This is an 11 -month tenure-track faculty position. Must be available to work flexible hours including evening or weekend hours as required. Assignment may include instruction of courses in faculty member's discipline.

Education and Experience:

An earned Master's degree in Instructional Design/Technology or Educational Technology OR the equivalent.

Qualifications:

• Experience designing and producing campus and program websites, web graphics, web resources and other digital course materials

• Experience in project management including managing time, establishing priorities, distributing responsibilities, meeting milestones and deliverables and ability to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously

• Knowledge of emerging technologies as related to teaching and learning

• Knowledge of and experience developing accessible course content in online course management systems (i.e. Moodle and Canvas)

• Experience working in instructional technology at the college level or equivalent

• Experience with a broad range of technology based teaching tools

• Demonstrate knowledge of current theories and best practices in the design and implementation of hybrid and online courses

• Proven ability to manage and meet deadlines

• Ability to maintain records specific to duties

• Ability to identify technology needs and recommend appropriate solutions (hardware and software)

• Knowledge of adult learning theories, distance learning principles and accessible instructional delivery methods.

Desired qualifications:

• Online and/or traditional teaching experience in higher education

• Experience training college faculty in instructional technologies and design of course content for online delivery

• A minimum of two years of experience developing web based courses
