OppTests is a web-based study tool, currently in beta, that creates multiple-choice practice tests from PDF files or notes. Each account works with the documents uploaded to it, and every test is built from that content.
Getting started takes three steps. First, a PDF or a set of notes is uploaded. Second, language models process the material and generate the questions. Third, the resulting test can be answered directly in the browser.
Every question offers several options with one correct answer. Questions are written in the same language as the source files.
The interface is available in Spanish and English. Documents and the tests generated from them stay private to each account and are not shared with other users.
Overview of OppTests benefits
Tests can be taken with or without a timer. Once a test is finished, the questions answered incorrectly and those flagged along the way can be revisited.
When explanations or excerpts from the uploaded material are available, they are displayed, so a result can be checked against the original text.
The Free plan includes 3 files, 5 exams per month and up to 2 MB per file. Basic (EUR 4.99 per month, VAT included) raises this to 25 files, 100 exams and 25 MB per file, with PDF export. Premium (EUR 9.99 per month, VAT included) allows 100 files, 500 exams and 100 MB per file, and adds Word export, analytics and high priority.
OppTests is still in beta, and candid feedback on what works and what doesn't is welcome.
