What do you like best? Remote has significantly streamlined our global hiring process. It’s allowed us to tap into top talent in countries where we have no legal presence, without the usual administrative and compliance headaches. We’re able to provide compliant contracts, manage payroll across borders, and receive guidance on tax and legal questions specific to each region. The platform has helped us save time, reduce risk, and expand our team confidently.
What do you dislike? Onboarding timelines vary depending on local regulations, which means the hiring manager needs to stay actively engaged during the process. A bit of extra coordination is required with Remote’s onboarding team to ensure a smooth setup in each country. Their customer support is truly top-notch. They’ve consistently gone above and beyond to find solutions.

What do you like best? Remote’s portal is incredibly user-friendly. Our team required no training to get started. The interface is clean and straightforward, making day-to-day tasks easy to complete. Any time I’ve reached out for support, the Remote team has responded quickly and resolved issues efficiently. The switch from our previous provider (Velocity Global) has been a huge upgrade in both service and usability.
What do you dislike? This is a minor suggestion, but it would be helpful to have the ability to hide or disable features we don’t use. Customizing the interface to reflect only what’s relevant to our team would make the platform feel even more streamlined. I’d highly recommend Remote to any organization managing international contractors or employees

What do you like best? Remote’s “no-nonsense” approach stands out. They strike a solid balance between professionalism and practicality, serving both employee and employer needs. Their support team is responsive, delivers well-researched answers, and takes a proactive approach to solving queries. We’ve had a smooth experience across the board. Their legal support team is especially strong and has proven highly competent in navigating complex international employment scenarios.
What do you dislike? Some limitations exist when it comes to flexibility, particularly in specific countries. For example, we were unable to move an employee in the Netherlands due to Remote’s pension setup, which lacked flexibility. This would have negatively impacted the employee’s net salary, making the transfer unfeasible. Other than that, its competitive pricing and structured approach during the vendor evaluation process make Remote a clear choice.

What do you like best? We began using Remote early in their journey and have grown alongside them. It has been instrumental in helping us build a global team that sits at the intersection of industrials and AI, an incredibly niche talent pool. The collaboration has been rewarding, with the team consistently receptive to feedback and responsive to our evolving needs.
What do you dislike? One area for improvement would be visibility into onboarding progress. It’d be helpful to see detailed statuses, like whether the onboarding email has been sent or signed, so we can better track and support new hires during the process. Overall, a trusted partner to help any business scale globally without compromising the employee experience.

What do you like best? Our experience with Remote has been exceptional. It’s hard to imagine how we would have managed our global expansion without this platform. It has significantly reduced the need for international travel and administrative overhead, enabling us to scale quickly and compliantly. We’ve been able to onboard incredible talent around the world without the cost or complexity of setting up legal entities.
What do you dislike? Honestly, I haven’t encountered any issues with the platform or support. Everything has worked seamlessly so far.

What do you like best? Remote continues to impress after multiple years of use. Both from an employer and employee perspective, the experience has been smooth and efficient. Onboarding was seamless, and our account management team has remained consistent and highly responsive, a rare find. The platform offers an intuitive, easy-to-navigate interface and a robust knowledge base. Features like the HR Advisory beta and cost calculators add even more value.
What do you dislike? Currently, we can’t run all of our entities and Employer of Record (EoR) operations through Remote due to limitations with our existing Gusto setup in the US. It would be ideal to consolidate everything within Remote, but integration restrictions prevent that at the moment.

What do you like best? Remote has been a game-changer for our startup. It enabled us to build a globally distributed team without the legal or compliance headaches of setting up local entities. Some of our most valuable hires were made possible thanks to this platform. It handled the complexities of local employment and tax regulations so we could hire confidently across Europe. The peace of mind and compliance coverage are unmatched.
What do you dislike? The per-employee cost can be steep for smaller teams. When hiring just one or two international employees, the platform fees can feel like a significant portion of the total salary expense. Letting that aside, if you want access to top talent in countries where you don’t have a legal presence, it’s good.

What do you like best? The ability to customize contracts based on employment type and country-specific standards is a major benefit. Remote makes it easy to hire both full-time employees and contractors globally, offering flexibility in how services and terms are set up. We switched from SafeHR which had useful features and was user-friendly, but its high cost led us to explore more affordable alternatives like Remote.
What do you dislike? Onboarding timelines can be longer than expected due to regulatory delays, and support response times aren’t always fast, particularly when dealing with urgent issues. For contractors receiving employee-like benefits, the platform lacks flexibility. The contract signing process also feels rigid, with no way to customize workflows.
