What do you like best? Thinkific provides an efficient structure for compliance training, certification, and professional development. The ability to issue certificates upon completion is especially useful for our industry.

Flexible course delivery platform with strong customization for branding and design

What do you like best? One of the best things about Thinkific is how easy it is to customize the look and feel of the learning site. With flexible branding options, it’s simple to create a seamless experience that matches our company identity. The ability to host a variety of content types, from video lectures to interactive assignments, adds great value for both creators and learners.
What do you dislike? Reporting is functional but not as in-depth as we would like. While you can see student progress and completion rates, advanced analytics or detailed learner behavior insights are limited. For organizations that rely heavily on data-driven decision-making, additional reporting features would be useful.

What do you like best? Thinkific enables nonprofits, schools, and businesses to transition into digital learning without heavy technical requirements. Bulk student enrollment, group reporting, and multi-instructor support make it easy for organizations to operate at scale.
What do you dislike? While it’s affordable for small to mid-sized teams, scaling up with advanced features like API access may require higher-tier plans. A more flexible enterprise pricing model would be beneficial.

What do you like best? Beyond just hosting courses, Thinkific makes it possible to create membership models where learners pay for ongoing access to content. This flexibility allows educators to design recurring revenue streams and engage learners with fresh material over time.
What do you dislike? While branding basics are available, more design freedom would help creators build sites that feel truly unique and differentiated from others using the platform.

What do you like best? We've been very happy so far. The gamification features and advanced automation tools are a welcome addition, helping keep learners motivated and engaged throughout their courses.
What do you dislike? After a new release, there can occasionally be small bugs or quirks that need ironing out. While these are usually fixed quickly, it can disrupt workflows if you’re relying heavily on the new features.

What do you like best? Thinkific shines as a platform for scaling online training businesses. The ability to manage multiple courses, drip content over time, and integrate with other business systems has been a huge benefit. Their support team is responsive and provides clear, practical solutions. Payments and student enrollment are seamless, making it easy to run a course business globally.
What do you dislike? The community-building options are basic. Although discussion forums are available, they don’t feel as engaging as dedicated community platforms. It would be great to have more tools built into Thinkific that foster deeper interaction among learners and keep them engaged outside of course content.

What do you like best? Thinkific has strong automation tools that make managing students easier. Features like drip schedules, automated welcome emails, and course completion certificates help keep learners engaged without adding extra admin work. It also integrates smoothly with tools like Zapier and Stripe, which helps automate workflows and manage payments efficiently.
What do you dislike? Customer support, while helpful, can sometimes take longer than expected to respond during peak times

What do you like best? Thinkific is very intuitive and doesn’t require any technical background to get started. Uploading videos, creating quizzes, and designing course pages is straightforward, which has saved me a lot of time. The templates are clean and customizable, making it easy to build a professional-looking course site without needing coding skills.
What do you dislike? While the basics are solid, the marketing tools are somewhat limited compared to specialized platforms. Features like advanced email segmentation, funnel building, or affiliate management could be more robust. For more complex campaigns, you still need external tools, which means extra integrations.

What do you like best? Thinkific makes it possible for individual instructors and small teams to start an online course business without a big upfront investment. The free plan is generous and the paid tiers are reasonably priced. The platform is well-documented with lots of tutorials, which makes the setup process smooth and confidence-building for new creators.
What do you dislike? The quiz and assessment features could be more dynamic. They work fine for basic knowledge checks, but more advanced options like branching scenarios, question randomization, or stronger test security features are missing.

Free Trial Locks You Into Auto-Renewal. Do not recommend.

What do you like best? Could potentially be a contender for a learning management software. However, we will not move forward.
What do you dislike? Thinkific’s 14-day free trial has a significant drawback: you cannot cancel auto-renewal during the trial period. This means that if you forget to cancel before the trial ends, you’re automatically charged for a subscription. This lack of flexibility feels unnecessarily restrictive and could be avoided with an option to disable auto-renew upfront. While I understand the need to manage subscriptions, this policy feels more like a tactic to lock users in than to provide a seamless experience.

What do you like best? What really stands out is how supportive the Thinkific team has been. From setting up my course site to walking me through integrations, support has been fast, patient, and helpful. The learning path feature makes it easy to bundle modules with prerequisites, which has streamlined my program development process.
What do you dislike? Nothing really comes to my mind. If pushed I would have probably added some more SCORM export options.

What do you like best? I have to reaaaaly think to be able to answer this question. I don't know what to say at this point.
What do you dislike? I'm a power user who made $2.5M selling courses with Teachable. Recently Teachable switched to a very expensive pricing scheme, so I moved my school to Thinkific. I paid for the Grow plan for the entire year in order to be able to use their email marketing feature. Today I found out that they suspended my email sending privileges due to not having unsubscribe link in my email. WHICH THEY SAID WAS TECHNICALLY IMPOSSIBLE WHEN I REACHED OUT AND ASKED HOW I CAN ADD UNSUBSCRIBE LINKS TO MY MESSAGES!!

What do you like best? It's incredibly simple to create a course - no HTML coding required. However we appreciate the access to code to push the content to the next level.
What do you dislike? The types of exercises/quizzes etc need some work - other platforms offer more interactive options like drag & drop order, "fill in the gaps" style questions, and jigsaw puzzle style things. I also would love to be able to customise the Course Player more so that we could easily customise the visuals.

What do you like best? The usability, integrations and excellent support makes my work som much easier. I am really happy that I chose Thinkific as our platform.
What do you dislike? It would definitely be a plus if Thinkific managed to take taxes into account when expediting orders. Now, I instead have to use Shopify as my payment provider - which works well, but is somewhat of a workaround.

What do you like best? I was above to do all that I wanted in one place and didn't need to add a lot of third party add-ins. That would have increased cost and complexity.

What do you like best? I chose Thinkific as my online course platform because it delivers the most optimal and user-friendly learning and teaching experience. Course creators can get their courses up and running FAST, while focusing on the learning content and learning journey their course provides. I encourage my students and clients to set their courses up on Thinkific because it is fast and easy for them to get a course designed, developed and built using this platform. I recommend it highly.
What do you dislike? The one thing that I like "least", actually ties in to what I like MOST about Thinkific...which is that it is MODULAR and GRANULAR in nature. If you think of each aspect of your course empire as being like a "lego", you can combine these "legos" (lessons, courses, design elements, notifications) in multiple ways to create unique effects. The secret lies in understanding that you have to START with the smallest and most granular unit, first. This takes a mindset shift from WordPress. Worth it!
