IDEC 2014
International Distance Education Conference 2014 (IDEC 2014) aims to provide a multinational platform where the latest trends in distance education can be presented and discussed in a friendly environment with the aim to learn from each other. Prospective presenters are encouraged to submit proposals for papers and posters/demonstrations that offer new research or theoretical contributions. Presentations should be in Turkish and English and should address both theoretical issues and new research findings.
Furthermore if the presenter is unable to attend the oral presentation, the virtual presentations or video presentations are available. IDEC 2014 conference is supported by Sakarya University and TASET and will take place on December 18-20, 2014 at the Copthorne Hotel, Doha, Qatar. All full paper presentations will be published in an online proceeding book of IDEC 2014 and the selected papers will be published in:
- The Online Journal of New Horizons in Education - TOJNED (www.tojned.net),
- The Turkish Online Journal of Educational Technology - TOJET (www.tojet.net)
Conference languages are Turkish and English.
Video and Virtual Presentations
We understand that some presenters will be unable to make the trip to conference venue to present their papers, mainly due to financial and/or political restrictions on travel. IDEC 2014 has therefore instituted a virtual and video presentation system to allow the authors of accepted proposals the same publication opportunities as regular presenters.
If you are interested in Video or Virtual participation to IDEC 2014, please send an email ([email protected])to the conference secretariat. The details will be announced later on the conference web site.
If your proposal is accepted you will be invited to register for the conference as a virtual presenter. Upon payment of the registration fee your paper will be listed as a virtual presentation. If you wish your paper to be published in the conference proceedings.
