eLearnz Conference 2017, Awards And eLab

The conference is the only one of its kind in New Zealand, and promises to deliver the latest, best, and brightest trends and issues affecting contemporary learning and development (L&D) professionals and practice.

The two-day eLearnz conference in Auckland on 1-2 August 2017 will feature international keynote speakers Nigel Paine, Charles Jennings, Josh Squires, Curtis J. Morley and Paul Schneider, as well as some of New Zealand’s top business, coaching and L&D minds. Speakers will address issues such as the coming disruption to corporate learning, VR (virtual reality) development, xAPI and the latest in digital learning trends, innovative and cost-effective elearning solutions, and provide relevant case studies from New Zealand and global companies.

Nigel Paine, who will also MC the event, has been involved in corporate learning for more than twenty years. Nigel was a pioneer in the production of CD-ROMS and other learning software and multimedia materials and, more recently, has offered development and support to companies large and small in more than 30 countries around the world.

Charles Jennings has a global reputation for his work with the 70:20:10 model and will address harnessing the power of experiential and social learning through technological advancements.

In addition to the two-day conference Bloom is offering an eLab workshop on 3 August. The eLearnz awards ceremony will also be held on 1 August to recognise excellence in the design and implementation of eLearning initiatives within organisations.

“Through eLearnz you’ll be treated to exciting keynote speakers, but there’ll also be plenty of time for conversation, hands-on learning and collaboration that will inspire and invigorate your L&D spark,” says Bloom Founder and Director Rustica Lamb.

“The theme for this year’s eLearnz conference is "we are the ones", inspired by the movie The Matrix. We believe we are the ones to impact business performance and to use technology to increase staff productivity, and we are the ones who can lead businesses as trusted advisors. We also like to have fun, so there will be plenty of competitions with great prizes. We are grateful to have the support of our sponsors Docebo, Workbright and Cliftons to help bring internationally-renowned L&D thought leaders to New Zealand.”
