Open edX is the open source learning platform that MIT and Harvard built for edx.org's 11M+ learners

What do you like best? - In addition to the 11M+ users of edx.org, the Open edX software is used by 12M+ learners from corporations, universities, and nonprofits e.g. Microsoft, IBM, NYU and the US Air Force. - Proven user interface for instructors and learners. - No licensing, setup or royalty costs at all: the software is open source and you can install it freely at any time. - Its openness allows you to extend it into a data-driven, fully-featured and integrated platform of tools and learning components.
What do you dislike? As a platform that's fundamentally built to scale to tens of millions of learners, it's software architecture is more complex than most learning platforms'. Though this has zero impact on the instructor and learner experience (both are great), it does mean that it's sometimes more difficult for engineers to make deep customizations to the open source software without previous training.

What do you like best? Pay only once for anything you would like to use! It's modular - you don't need to pay for what you don't need A lot of necessary stuff is free out of the box You can start small (almost free) and scale when it's needed
What do you dislike? The help from professionals is needed to set everything up (but when it's up and running - everything is ok) If you choose not that good technical team you risk having some problems with the system.

What do you like best? I like the user-friendly interface and the various types of content that I can use. It's also a very flexible grading system. This is an open source solution and there is an possibility to extend functionality. There are intergations with external systems. So very flexible solution
What do you dislike? This is an open source, so I need some technical support.
