Canada Moodle Moot 2015 attracts workplace based trainers, teachers and instructors who use Moodle for training through to high level policy and decision makers.

Delegates are from all facets of education, small and large business and industry, as well as from the non profit sector and government. In fact, delegates are sponsored by their organizations to take back information so that decisions can be made for future purchases and initiatives. We expect representation from all provinces and territories throughout Canada. The typical delegate works primarily online, owns one or more computers, and owns at least one wireless hand held device. The conference has been run every two years in the west since 2005. Apx. 400 people attend online and/or onsite and we expect a similar turn out in Montreal 2015.

A Moot is a conference! A Moodle Moot is a conference all about Moodle. The theme for Canada Moodle Moot 2015 is Connecting with Moodle. There are three streams:

  • Stream #1:How it works / Moodle mode d'emploi
  • Stream #2: Making it work / Moodle en contexte
  • Stream #3: New ways of working / Nouvelles approches

The Canada Moodle Moot 2015 attracts a wide range of interest from people who use Moodle for training through to high level policy and decision makers. We expect representation from Canada and throughout the world from all facets of education, small and large business and industry, as well as representation from the nonprofit sector. We expect up to 400 people to attend either virtually online and/or onsite at the hotel. The typical delegate works primarily online, owns one or more computers, has high speed Internet, and owns a wireless handheld device.

Delegates are typically:

  • K12 Educators and school officials,
  • Instructors and administrators,
  • University professors, Directors and Deans
  • Technology decisionmakers
  • Corporate, business and large enterprise representatives,
  • Workplace based trainers,
  • Small Training Organizations,
  • NotForProfits,
  • New and questioning Moodlers,
  • Moodlers and open source advocates, and
  • Moodle Network Administrators

Canada Moodle Moot 2015 will take place both online and in person at the Hyatt Regency Montreal in Montreal, Quebec from October 20 to October 23 2015.
