Lord-Lieutenant To Visit Learning Pool’s Oxfordshire Office Following The Queen’s Award For Enterprise Win For Learning Locker®

The Duke Of Gloucester Will Visit Learning Pool Acknowledging The Queen's Award For Enterprise For Learning Locker®

In April 2019, HT2 Labs (now a part of the Learning Pool Group) were among 60 organizations nationwide to have been presented with the Award for Innovation, following their success with the multi-award-winning Learning Locker®.

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the most prestigious award for UK businesses, recognizing and celebrating success across the nation. The awards acknowledge outstanding achievement across four categories: innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

Learning Locker® is the world’s most-widely installed Learning Record Store (LRS). An LRS is a big data store used to store, sort and share digital learning activity. Available in both Open Source and Enterprise editions, the LRS enables organizations to reconcile learning experience data from many systems into one, presenting a seamless source of analysis to make learning measurable.

In June 2019, HT2 Labs’ CEO, Dr. Ben Betts (now Chief Product Officer at Learning Pool) and founder, Alan Betts (now Principal Consultant at Learning Pool) were invited to a Royal Reception at Buckingham Palace. Adding to the celebrations, Learning Pool is now thrilled to announce the planned visit of His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester to their Oxfordshire-based office on Friday 25th October 2019 to present the Award for Innovation and a commemorative crystal bowl to the pioneers behind Learning Locker®.

The Duke will be accompanied by The Queen’s representative, the Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, Tim Stevenson OBE CstJ. Following this, His Royal Highness will meet with the Learning Pool colleagues and pioneers behind their innovation, Learning Locker® and will learn more about the other software Learning Pool develops, as well as the day-to-day processes of an L&D organization. Learning Pool very much looks forward to welcoming The Duke to Oxfordshire and receiving their award.
