Learning Pool Moves To The Innovation District

As part of Learning Pool’s commitment to providing world-class customer support to all its clients, the company’s Boston team has relocated to the Innovation District, known as Boston’s ‘welcome mat’ for entrepreneurs.

The new office, located in the Seaport area of the South Boston waterfront, is managed by WeWork, the commercial real estate company that provides shared workspaces for technology startups and services for other enterprises. This is Learning Pool’s second engagement with WeWork, solidifying the company’s efforts to expand into the North American market by creating a space for Boston-based L&D professionals to come together to connect and share.

Learning Pool’s Chief Commercial Officer, Duncan Shores commented:

"As Learning Pool continues to expand in North America, we wanted to ensure that our Boston team had the best office space available. Moving a few hundred yards to the center of the Innovation District will mean that we continue to afford easy access for both staff and customers whilst adding new facilities for hosting Learning & Development showcases and networking events in the heart of the city. We’re really excited to explore the opportunities that our new space creates."

The Innovation District is the fastest-growing part of Boston today and has stimulated significant economic growth in the city. Since the District’s launch in January 2010 by Mayor Thomas M. Menino, 5,000 new jobs have been created and over 200 new companies formed.

Boston’s current Mayor Marty Walsh recently stated:

"It has strong educational institutions nearby and a population that is filled with energy and imagination. The District is one of Boston’s many great neighborhoods and we believe that it can be even greater with the neighborhood Innovation District."

This new space gives the North American team access to larger event spaces which they intend to use to help L&D professionals expand their knowledge in their role and elevate their awareness of growing industry trends, for example, leadership, women in learning, and future skills, by hosting two open events per month.

Sharon Claffey Kaliouby, VP of North America at Learning Pool said:

"I am so excited to collaboratively engage with our clients, innovative thought leaders, and the Corporate and EdTech professional community via the Seaport’s Innovation District. We will be hosting at least 2 hybrid/blended events (masks and safety precautions provided at our WeWork location) per month - at no cost to attendees. We hope to see you there - either online or in-person!"

Starting in September, Sharon and the Boston team are hosting the following sessions:
