Lesson 5. Inquiring Minds: Creating Enhanced Learner Assessments

Assessments are an integral part of eLearning, but must be planned and executed well to ensure they are useful to your learners. In this lesson, we’re going to talk about creating enhanced learner assessments and quizzes. We’ll cover some theoretical information about different types of quizzes. We’ll also share some pro tips and some good basics of authoring quizzes. Plus, you’ll learn how to actually create knowledge checks with iSpring and some ways to make them even better.

Topics covered:

  • Review of different assessment & knowledge check types
  • Considerations for interactive results/scoring
  • Which tests best fit which content and how they can be used
Sam Rogers recommends that you develop your questions before the rest of your learning. Many of us make the common mistake of developing them after or concurrently with other eLearning. Quizzes shouldn’t be regarded by the learners as some kind of punishment. That goes back to the idea of being an advocate for your learners, and the concept that you yourself would be interested in the material.
