Brightspace provides the main features of an lms, but requires redundant setup of common features.

What do you like best?
I like the content area and the ability to create and organize modules.
What do you dislike?
I do not like that common graded items are not automatically linked to the grade book. I also do not like that there are not more bulk edit features for assigning the same date range to a group of items.

What do you like best?
Rubrics, checklists, integrated course calendars with personal calendars, intelligent agents - the whole suite is highly flexible to multiple course situations.
What do you dislike?
The text-based discussion forums with poor grading experience. It is the current weak link of all LMS, not just D2L. Waiting for the next iteration - predicting this will be the next big area they improve, .

Ease of use and input of courseware
What do you dislike?
The grading system should be linked throughout. If you create an artifact in the Discussions, it should link all of your rubrics to Grading as well. This can be done, if you follow defined steps, but would be easier if any selection would automatically populate the other parts.
