Litmos is a solid LMS without an overwhelming interface

What do you like best?
Litmos has plenty of functionality but doesn't feel overly complicated to the average learner. People log in, see their courses and get on with their training. That's more important to us than having hundreds of features nobody understands.
What do you dislike?
The administrator experience isn't always as intuitive as the learner side. A few settings are hidden deeper in the platform than I would expect.
Straightforward course creation for everyday training

What do you like best?
Not every internal course needs to be a huge instructional design project. With Litmos we can put together relatively simple training quickly using videos, documents, assessments and existing materials. That has been useful when policies or processes change and training needs to go out quickly.
What do you dislike?
For highly customized or interactive courses we still use external authoring tools. The built-in tools are more useful to us for fast, straightforward content.
Litmos manages to make mandatory training less painful

What do you like best?
Nobody gets excited about mandatory training, but Litmos at least makes the process simple. Employees can clearly see what is outstanding, complete courses from different devices and get back to work without having to figure out a complicated LMS.
What do you dislike?
Notifications can become a bit much if you aren't careful with the settings. We had to adjust ours after launch so learners weren't receiving more reminders than necessary.
Works well with the training content we already have

What do you like best?
We already had a large amount of SCORM content before moving to Litmos, so being able to bring that across was important. We can now manage our existing courses alongside newer content created directly in the platform.
What do you dislike?
Troubleshooting imported content can occasionally be frustrating because it isn't always immediately clear whether an issue comes from the LMS or the original package.

Customer Service, customization, library of trainings and resources, ongoing support, timely responses.
What do you dislike?
Sometimes it felt like you need to know coding to be able to fully use the software to its full potential.

What do you like best?
The support provided by the Litmos managed admin services team. They are flexible, execute work well, and do not hesitate to help educate our in-house team so we have the necessary tools and knowledge to make decisions going forward.
What do you dislike?
The reporting functionality has presented challenges for our organization. We typically export Litmos data and use another platform with stronger reporting capabilities. I understand reporting updates are coming to Litmos and am eager to see the enhancements.

What do you like best?
Litmos has not only met our needs, but exceeded our expectations of how we have been able to revamp our training and development strategy based on the platform's functionality. It has been transformational for our organization and allowed us to step into a new era of training and development in the 21st century!
What do you dislike?
Litmos has been transparent about updating this feature, but I look forward to when the reporting capabilities are revamped. This functionality is adequate and provides relevant insights; however, that is the main area of the platform that I'd love to see improved!
Simple to navigate and set up yet has all the necessary features expected in an LMS.

What do you like best?
Ease of use for learners, and the integrations with other systems via APIs enabling us to automate a large number of our processes.
What do you dislike?
Certain features like permissions for managers+ and calendars for instructor-led trainings need some improvements.
Very user friendly for both administrators and end users.

What do you like best?
I love the simple dashboard experience as both an individual user and as an administrator. I also appreciate seeing firsthand that Litmos makes continuous improvements that don't require retraining. Example: improved bulk course completion experience. The new display is very appealing!
What do you dislike?
Maintaining/updating compliance courses using the great functions Litmos provides, especially when the compliance course is included in a learning path. Looking forward to getting help on this topic.
Litmos is nice system to deliver continuous development and compliance training and is easy to use.

What do you like best?
The system is pretty easy to use and to navigate in. The Litmos team is helpful and easy to work with.
What do you dislike?
The Litmos system needs to have more options for doing more things in bulk as well as more auto rule options (ex. applying a rule for a date range).
